Description

Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) originates from the Mediterranean, Front Asia and the Canary Islands. In our country there is almost no wildlife. An effective drug is contained in leaves but mainly in seeds.
Milk Thistle is used for healing purposes since ancient Greece and Rome.
Its effectiveness is largely based on a complex of three ingredients known under the generic name SILYMARIN, an irreplaceable complex of sugars, fats and proteins, flavonolignans, amino acids, essential oils and magnesium.
The berries are used to prevent liver fatigue and health problems caused by liver inflammation, and as a supportive product in the fight against a wide range of diseases.
A number of industrial products and medicines, including oil that has the highest concentration of active substances, are manufactured from the fruit of the Milk Thistle.

Healing effects

The main healing effect of this plant is the ability to strengthen the liver - one of the most important organs of the human body. It protects by controlling the consumption of glutathione, a compound similar to amino acids, which is essential for detoxification processes, in addition, it promotes the formation of new healthy liver cells that gradually replace old and damaged cells.
It also mitigates a number of serious liver diseases, including viral infections and cirrhosis . In cancer patients, Milk Thistle reduces the possibility of liver damage by chemotherapy.
It calms the inflammation and can slow down skin cell proliferation during psoriasis (psoriasis). Beneficial endometriosis , the most common cause of female infertility , may also be beneficial. Milk Thistle favors bile stones as it improves the drainage of the bile - cholesterol-digested juice - from the liver to the intestines where it helps to digest fats. Its seeds, especially the oil, are considered to be the best liver medicine at all. This, as a vital organ, suffers from a bad diet with a lot of saturated fats, additives, nitrates, alcohol, and synthetic drugs. Together with the liver heals the gallbladder (as soon as a person has problems with the gallbladder, signaling the bad condition of the liver) and some other diseases of the digestive tract.
The flavonolignans silybin, silydianin and silychristin (silycristin, silykristin), which are collectively called Silymarin, are mainly responsible for the healing effects of Milk Thistle. These substances bind to the membranes of liver cells to prevent the entry of toxic substances into the liver tissue. In addition, they promote regeneration of damaged liver cells, strengthen the immune system, and act as powerful antioxidants .
It is used above all for liver , such as jaundice, cirrhosis or various poisonings, whether due to intoxication with alcohol, drugs, industrial poisons or fungi. Experimentally, Silymarin has been tested in all these cases not only to speed up the recovery of liver tissue but also to increase survival rate (eg after swallowing). In addition, the drug affects the formation of bile and hence the entire metabolism.
The fact that Milk Thistle is a real giant and its therapeutic value proves his other possibilities of application. The drug corrects blood circulation , benefits at low blood pressure , tonifies blood vessels, has a beneficial effect on the heart, helps with migraines and dizziness.
Helps treat infectious mononucleosis, EBV, liver disease, drug poisoning, and eliminate the unpleasant consequences of chemotherapy

Boosts the body, treats various kinds of allergies such as urticaria or hay fever, helps with asthma attacks and removes nausea while traveling.
