Woolly burdock (Arctium tomentosum) - a biennial to 120 cm tall herb grows throughout Europe and in northern Asia up to the Altai.
For medicinal purposes, its root is collected, which is harvested in annual plants in autumn, in biennials in spring, because at the end of the growing season in the first year of life the plant stores storage substances in the root, so it is fleshy but , so it becomes irrelevant to medicine.
It is dried after washing, but the temperature must not exceed 50°C. Pulpy root (Radix Bardanae) is highly valued in medicine because it stores very valuable and useful substances for human health.
The most important healing ability is blood purification. This ranks it among the best herbal remedies for all types of skin diseases, and is used externally and internally.
